Personal Research

Due to my academic and product/service related research backgrounds, in addition to my systems thinking approach and my work at Foresight Design Initiative, I’m always starting new research projects in hopes of shifting paradigms and creating tools for social innovation. As I complete research, I will break out links to what I’m working on!

Right now, that includes:

  • Developing a series of “sermons” for contemporary times rooted in semiotic analysis of words in the English language we take for granted to be shared on my “Useful” podcast, including: scarcity, reactivity, shock and denial.

  • Writing an autoethnographic reflection of growing up in Oak Park from a systems-thinking perspective.

  • As a mixed art/research project, teaching myself materials science and learning about multiple philosophies of science, to inform my experimental music projects.
